AQUILO V

Aquilo V is the first fully carbon-fiber body rocket that the team has produced. This ensures significant weight reduction over previous models. The only non-carbon fibre parts are the bulkheads, nose-cone and inner-tubes.

Aquilo V is a rocket designed by the project team. The rocket uses a PB51 solid-fuel rocket engine supplied by NERO and is capable of reaching an altitude of around 2 kilometres. 

The rocket was launched at the military base near 'T Harde in October 2018. The launch was successful and the rocket hit an apogee of 2134 meters
