AQUILO V
Aquilo V is the first fully carbon-fiber body rocket that the team has produced. This ensures significant weight reduction over previous models. The only non-carbon fibre parts are the bulkheads, nose-cone and inner-tubes.
Aquilo V is a rocket designed by the project team. The rocket uses a PB51 solid-fuel rocket engine supplied by NERO and is capable of reaching an altitude of around 2 kilometres.
The rocket was launched at the military base near 'T Harde in October 2018. The launch was successful and the rocket hit an apogee of 2134 meters
Rockets | Height | Mass | Diameter | Maximum thrust | Total impulse | Launch date |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
AQUILO V | 2134 meters | 16604 grams | 116 mm | 1008 N | 3350 Ns |
