our story
The AQUILO Rocket Team is a passionate group of student rocket enthusiasts, united by a drive to innovate and push the boundaries of rocketry. What began as a graduation project in 2014 has steadily grown into the dynamic team it is today.
We specialize in building lightweight rockets using advanced composite materials like carbon fibre and fiberglass, but nowadays also experimenting with 3D printing.
With every launch, we take on new challenges, striving to innovate and improve with each design. So far, we’ve built nine rockets, and now, we’re on the thrilling journey of bringing our tenth to life.
Each year, new ambitious students join AQUILO, while experienced engineers graduate, leaving behind their mark on our legacy. Fresh minds have the freedom to shape the team's direction, setting goals that aren’t just about going bigger, higher, or heavier—but about exploring new frontiers in rocketry. Technological advancements are at the core of our mission, but flexibility ensures that every generation of AQUILO members leaves its unique imprint.
Our rockets are proudly designed and manufactured in-house at the Inholland Composites facilities, where innovation meets hands-on experience. With every build, test, and launch, we continue to push the limits of student-driven aerospace engineering.
