ELectronics department
The electronics department is responsible for the vital systems that power our rockets. From flight computers to igniters, and from soldering the smallest chips to building recovery trackers, we ensure that every system operates flawlessly. Our department plays a crucial role in executing key events like ignition and separation with precision and reliability.
While we primarily work with components and software from external suppliers, including our sponsors, we are also developing our very own AQUILO Flight Computer - a long-term project that will push our technological capabilities even further.
Like every department, the electronics department consists of a department head, members, and advisors. Our work is a balance of both theoretical and practical challenges. The theoretical side involves researching and programming the right components, while the practical side focuses on assembling, calibrating, and rigorously testing each system to ensure they perform flawlessly when it matters most.

Hi!
My name is Deya, a second-year Aeronautical Engineering student in Delft, originally from Sofia, Bulgaria. For the upcoming year, I’ll be stepping into the role of Head of the Electronics Department.
My main focus will be leading the development of AQUILO’s flight computer, POLARIS, and setting up ground station telemetry. These systems are key for improving data analysis, and I’m excited to guide the team as we bring them to life.
What inspires me the most is collaborating with the team to overcome difficult challenges, learn from the experience , and keep improving our technology. I’m looking forward to a year full of innovation, problem-solving, and learning !
